1. Overview of California's MPAs
We recommend to begin with the California MPA Overview course that provides a high-level foundation about the challenges our coast and oceans face, how MPAs were established, what they mean, where they are, and how you can help.
-
2. Regional Courses (Just take One Regional Training)
After completing the MPA Overview, find the regional course that is applicable to where you work, reside, or volunteer to learn about people, place, habitats, MPAs in your region, how MPAs are managed, and how you can get involved.
-
3. Compliance and Engagement
Wrap up your training with the Compliance Guide for Educators to learn more about engagement with the visiting public and some great tools and resources.
-
4. Tell Us What You Think!
Once you have completed the three main areas of the online training, please take the course evaluation based on your role as a student/volunteer or a program manager to help us improve the training in the future.
